My name is Ilan (Dray) born in Israel, bred for 18 years in Paris, France. Age 30, Current Location - Tel-Aviv, INKOD Communication Ltd.. Previous occupations - 5 Years in Press & Advertising Design.

Read the boring, (much) more of the same, design magazines and try to be different & unique

Open an interactive production house with an edge

  What effect on traffic do your new designs have?

Winning Awards like Macromedia site of the day had immense effects on my prized sites. E.g. www.ipo.co.il, www.archpark.org.il.

  Who is your target audience?

When I design I strive to entertain & invite all users, not especially designers and heavy users but also John and Pauline Doe.

  What area of web design lacks the most?

Too many websites abuse flash by using the same sources, lack of originality and much ado about nothing.

  Have you written any books?

I am featured in a Japanese design book (Pie Books). Do you plan to? If time allows and in the mean time lectures at Universities.

  Do you think Flash is here to stay?

Yes, their big boost is yet to come -with the fuse with Freehand, Photoshop and other graphic software.

  What was the toughest thing you ever did with Flash?

I am working on it now with Flash MX, I intend to explore & exploit all the new possibilities that MX offers (design-wise and Script-wise)

  How have you learned so many Flash/design skills and techniques and can you offer any advice for newbies?

a)Autodidact, work, sleep, work, etc.

b)Study the help feature in software - it takes you step by step. (I would like to pay respect to the people who have written the help sections - RESPECT)

  What type of overcoat do you wear when flashing, basically are you a labels man?
