We are seven strong at SUBAKT. There are 5 men and two very pretty women and when we are flashing we are all naked (it's better for inspiration!!).
Started in 2000 by Frédéric Sofiyana (graphic artist) and Stéphane Lefèvre (photographer), the SUBAKT Creative Arts Studio creates, develops and delivers original art works blending design, graphics, photography and sound. Outside our contract work for customers, creative activity carried out by SUBAKT includes a 3-media research and development lab handling Web art, print media, and video. SUBAKT's specialist team is made up as follows: Frédéric Sofiyana: co-founder and creative arts manager, Stéphane Lefèvre: co-founder and photographic director, Marc Guillaumin: arts coordinator, Guillaume Antigny: graphics, web designer, Guillaume Manteau: graphics, web designer, Gaëlle Raux: development, Peggy Tavenne: liaison and communications.
We listen to music a lot, we do brainstorming all together, feeling free to say whatever we have in mind. Sometimes the best way to get an idea is not to think about it.

Our web site, just because it's a free platform we use to express ourselves. Its ergonomics permits us to include very different kinds of projects: web, print, photo / video.
We are developing a series of mobile exhibition concepts for early 2003. The idea is to present personal works of SUBAKT members. We'll have web, print, photo and video projects.

We think so. The new version including video shows that this software is still evolving.
It was very simple, with direct access to the projects : www.subakt.fr/v1 (no longer online)
One of the toughest things we made was www.kenzo.com, because it is fully dynamic, and full of action script.
The best way to learn is to experiment and practice over your own limits. Most of us learn in front of our screen. Maybe we have one advice to give. Too many web designers work on their own, searching information, tools, scripts...on the web. We set up SUBAKT because we wanted a place where people could work, talk, think all together (and sometimes sing silly songs...).
Culture, fashion and music industries.
No we haven't but we would like to a lot. We took part in the book : 800*600.
