  Please give us a brief bio of yourself.

I'm 27 and I'm one half of Amanita Design studio.

Amanita Design was founded in 2003, we are Jakub Dvorsky and Vaclav Blin, both from Czech Republic (Brno and Prague).

Both of us studied at The Academy of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague.

  What do you do for inspiration?

Look at nature and going abroad, read books, listen to music, smoke pot etc.

  What do you regard as being your biggest achievement?

I managed to learn using Actionscript though on a very basic level:))

  What software couldn't you live without?

Flash, Photoshop, Winamp, Firefox, Thunderbird, Trillian

  What projects do you have in the pipeline?

We just finished Samorost2 so now we will take a short break and then start on some new projects, but we don't know what yet.

  Who do you rate as being the top 3 design companies?

Hi-res, Wefail, Yugop

  What effect on traffic do your new designs have?

Quite huge usually:)

  Who is your target audience?

I don't know, but I think almost anybody. From small children to old people.

  What area of web design lacks the most?

I think websites should be more varied.

  What did your very first site look like? Is it still online?

No, no.

  What was the toughest thing you ever did with Flash? How long did you spend on it? Is it still online?

  Do you think Flash is here to stay?

I don't know, but Flash is just the tool. More important is creativity.

  What are your views on design/graphic school. Do you think someone can get into the field without educational experience in a school environment?

I'm sure anybody can succeed even without education. I think that it’s more important to have talent and will rather than education.

  When your company was just getting started, what did you find was most effective for getting new clients?

I have had a lot of clients since we started. My website was quite popular because of Samorost.

  How have you learned so many Flash/design skills and techniques and can you offer any advice for newbies?

I was just sitting by the computer a lot of time and trying to solve how to create what I had on my mind.

  What is the most expensive thing you've bought in the last week?

Anchovy Pizza at the restaurant (app. $ 4)

  What type of overcoat do you wear when Flashing, basically are you a labels man?

I have some old and ripped up clothes, definitely no labels.

  Any parting shots or pearls of wisdom?

Probably not:)
