Please give us a brief bio of yourself.

Anatoly: PARK studio appeared in 2003 by efforts of only two people - Alex Pelevin and me. Starting from two, the studio today has grown to 17 people.

We mostly specialize in graphics and interactive design. Our clients: Motorola, Bacardi, Dove, MTV, Bombay Sapphire.

What do you do for inspiration?

Alexey: Sleep :)

Anatoly: Some time ago I would easily answer this question, but nowadays all websites are mixed in one vast RSS-flow, so I can barely say what is from what.

What do you regard as being your biggest achievement?

Anatoly: Hope it hasn't happen yet:)

What software couldn't you live without?

Anatoly: Adobe You_know_what and Photoshop.

What projects do you have in the pipeline?

Alexey: Now we are working on several interactive projects - Brahma, Nokia and some local Russian projects.

Who do you rate as being the top 3 design companies?

Anatoly : Studios and people: Hi-Res!, yugop,

Alexey: Pentagram.

Who is your target audience?

Anatoly: Guys who boast of what you are doing, guys with money and two in one.

What area of web design lacks the most?

Alexey: Interactive video.

What did your very first site look like? Is it still online?

Alexey: The first PARK project was not actually a website, but an interactive postcard.

Have you written any books, if not do you plan to?

Alexey: We do not write books, we do design for books :)

What was the toughest thing you ever did with Flash? How long did you spend on it? Is it still online?

Anatoly: The toughest moment was when I was trying to delve into 3D maths and being absolutely out of hand.

Later it helped me with the MTV promo website.

What are your views on design/graphic school. Do you think someone can get into the field without educational experience in a school environment?

Anatoly: There are a lot of good designers in Russia without any designer's education.

When your company was just getting started, what did you find was most effective for getting new clients?

Alexey: We made our own - very funny website and showed it to relevant people.

How have you learned so many Flash/design skills and techniques and can you offer any advice for newbies?

Anatoly: Practice, top-heavy goals, and people in to Flash and design around you who could give advice.

What is the most expensive thing you've bought in the last week?

Anatoly: I meant to buy headphones but forgot.

Alexey: I finally bought a w.c. door to my apartment.

Any parting shots or pearls of wisdom?

Anatoly: Let machines work for people.
