My name is Vitaliy Onishenko. I'm 27 years old. Located in Ukraine (xUSSR ) :) I'm working almost 10 years as freelance flash designer and animator.

Sleeping, playing games, watching movies and listening music.

What software could you not live without?

I could live happily without any software :)

What projects do you have in the pipeline?

Promotion flash site for washing detergent product, flash website for design company, website for thriller movie. Also I have few non-profit projects.

Who do you rate as being the top 3 design companies?

Fi, North Kingdom, 2advanced.

What effect on traffic do your new designs have?

FWA awards gave my works amazing traffic increase. I don't know how it effects on website visitors directly, but I hope they like it and I hope to win some more awards :P

Who is your target audience?

Target audience depends on project. But I love to make fun websites with a lot of animations and effects.

What area of web design lacks the most?

Usability lacks everywhere. I love simplicity.

What did your very first site look like? Is it still online?

It was looks like nightmare. Thank god - it's not online anymore. It was almost 10 years ago.

Have you written any books, if not do you plan to?

I dream of writing something someday, but all I have for now - just few small articles and some notes in Russian.

What was the toughest thing you ever did with Flash? How long did you spend on it? Is it still online?

Each new project for me - it's a small challenge. I'm trying to make everything perfectly. But toughest thing was trying to make any programming in flash 4 :)

Do you think Flash is here to stay?

Sure. Silverlight sucks. I hope someday Flash will have powerful built-in 3d engine and tools like DirectX have.

What are your views on design/graphic school. Do you think someone can get into the field without educational experience in a school environment?

I wish to have design degree, but I don't have.

When your company was just getting started, what did you find was most effective for getting new clients?

Just trying to make everything best as I can.

How have you learned so many Flash/design skills and techniques and can you offer any advice for newbies?

Try to press F1 more frequently :)

What is the most expensive thing you have bought in the last week?

New monitor.

What type of overcoat do you wear when Flashing, basically are you a labels man?

I don't like any special labels. I wear usual jeans and t-shirts.

Any parting shots or pearls of wisdom?

Don't have my own, but I love Confucius saying - "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"
