Maybe perfectionism, I am a real pixel child, and web designers have to respect pixels.
I was born in France in Toulouse. I graduated from an engineering school with a major in Physics. I spent some time abroad working as a researcher in Physics in Tallahassee, Florida and in Prague, Czech Republic. Then I did a master in New Media and Arts at "Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts" in Paris: that's where my schizophrenia between Technology & Design began. After graduating, I joined UZIK at its beginnings in 2003, and I rapidly became an associate with Jean-Marie Tassy (CEO and founder of UZIK). Our first clients were from the music industry (Warner Music, EMI, Daft Punk...) and we soon extended our portfolio to the Luxury and Fashion industries (Nina Ricci, Le Coq Sportif, Perrier Jouet, Russian Standard, Alain Ducasse ...).
I try to meet and collaborate with creative people from different backgrounds. For example, I organize Calvi On The Rocks in Corsica, a music festival started by UZIK in 2003. A nice time in summer where I can meet musicians, VJs, set designers around a glass of Rose on the beautiful beaches of Calvi.
levitated.net (I spent nights on Jared's code), ffffound.com and google.com.
Running UZIK everyday and keep the challenge of having creative people working together on projects.
Flash, Firefox, iTunes and Texas Hold'em on my iPhone.
We are finalizing a project for Champagne Perrier Jouet. We have entirely created their Digital Identity (we call it "brand digitalization" in house). We are working on the new Le Coq Sportif Design identity. And we work regularly on interface design for all kinds of devices for Orange.
THA, group94 and Hi-Res, but there are a lot of design companies doing a great job.
As a result of our hard work on friendly-user interfaces, we think that this is a key factor to drive not only traffic but also a longer and deeper user experience.
It really depends on the project, from teens to community users and trendsetters.

It was looking like a flash coding experimentation library, full of recursive algorithms and minimalist design. Unfortunately, I don't remember the url...
Not yet but we organize art events in Paris called MACE, and this might lead to a book. MACE concept: before party in our office (in the basement with everything decorated by our artistic team), inviting professionals only (DJs, graphic designers and journalists) and after party in the club "Le Regine"...
I spent nights and days alone on all kinds of multi-tracks audio mixers based on mouse interactivity. But today, we face at UZIK much tougher interface design and development challenges that require the involvement of the whole UZIK production crew. For example, Le Coq Sportif Browser.
The important thing is conception and content, not technology. Today we use Flash as the specific tool that fits our needs but I am sure that the next generation production tools will be great.
I believe the web is a perfect place for webdesign self-education. Otherwise, Design school is a great place to meet creative people, start collaborations and make all kinds of connections.
Working hard, being a perfectionist and finding cutting edge solutions.
Developers and web designers have to work together.
A dinner at the Quai Branly Museum rooftop restaurant. A real gourmet dinner and a stunning view over Paris.
Humm, maybe but only for sneakers and jackets, at this time Le Coq Sportif and A.P.C.

It's been an honor, thank you. Links ![]() |
