When I'm stuck I put on short shorts and go for a run. The open road clears my mind, and the whistles boost my confidence.

question Please give us a brief bio of yourself.

I'm an advertising creative in New York City where I also teach at the Miami Ad School. Born and raised in the North, but went to portfolio school in the South. So I guess you could say that the left side of my brain voted for Obama and my right side is a tad lazy.

What do you do for inspiration?

People watch. You can't make up the characters you come in contact with especially in a city like New York.

Please list 3 of your favourite sites.

What do you regard as being your biggest achievement?

Coming up with a project so I could meet Alfonso Ribeiro or Carlton from the show, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

How do you relax or unwind?

Believe it or not, side personal projects help me relax and keep my creative sanity. I love creating and it's nice not to have any restrictions put on you. What ever I say goes. No client or boss telling me what I can and cannot do.

If you weren't working on the internet what would you be doing?

Looking on the internet

What's your favourite part of your job? What's the hardest part of your job? What do you do when you get stuck?

Love concepting. There's nothing better than starting every sentence with "What if..."

The hardest part is educating clients on how the internet works.

When I'm stuck I put on short shorts and go for a run. The open road clears my mind, and the whistles boost my confidence.

Looking 10 years in to the future, how far can websites go?

I predict we'll run out of .coms and .net will become socially acceptable.

Of all the websites you/your company have produced, which one are you most proud of?

Definitely Killing Cool. It was a project that I created completely on my own, from concept to design. There were a lot of growing pains and learnings that were just as valuable as the recognition it received.

question If you were a student entering this industry or an aspiring FWA award submitter, what advice would you give them?

Surround yourself with people that have the same creative drive. Whether that entails taking less money to go to an agency that prides themselves on award-winning work or if you sell out, then work on creative side projects on your own time.

There must be a project that you have always dreamed of doing, what is it?

Anything that involves meeting Bill Maher. I'm going to try and write him into every project I'm working on.
