Hi, I am Paul Lê, french, geek, L.A lover, web-entrepreneur, founder of "03 July, Beautiful-apps Creator" which is a startup with the very simple idea that the apps we need the most should be the nicest, most intuitive and best designed.
What do you do for inspiration?
Well, the digital world is incredibly inspiring so I try to be constantly surrounded by people with a ton of ideas and projects. If they push the boundaries, that inspires me to do it as well. I always try to set the bar!

What do you regard as being your biggest achievement?
Winning a FWA of course :), but honestly I have never felt successful.
How many hours do you work each week?
I don't work, I do what I have always wanted to do. I don't feel I am working when my job is to put my ideas on the field, meeting great people, connectings ideas.
How do you relax or unwind?
I sleep a lot, and when I have some time, I really enjoy playing rugby with my friends.
If you weren't working on the internet what would you be doing?
I would be probably on youtube watching movies all day long.
What's your favourite part of your job? What's the hardest part of your job? What do you do when you get stuck?
My favourite part of my job is to meet incredible people with amazing projects ! I am always like a kid with stars in the eyes when I see some people who try to make the world to be a better place to live.
The hardest part of my job is : Paying taxes, especially in France
When I get stuck I try to take a step back and take a look from a different angle. Eating Nutella helps me a lot for thinking wisely when I get stuck as well.
If there are any pivotal experiences/decisions you could point to that helped shape your career, what would they be?
I am not going to say something new, but being focus on one project and geting it done is the best decision I have taken in my career. In the recent past I have tried to do so many projects at the same and being everywhere, but finally I idn't do anything and I was nowhere.
What software could you not live without?
Waze ! This GPS is fantastic, it is fun to get stuck in traffic "can you believe it ?!"
In terms of software, is there anything new you have been playing with lately or that has impressed you?
WebGL is very impressive, I wish more agencies would use it to create more commercial projects, creatives have been waiting for good tools for a long time and now they have one for doing great 3D things on the web.
Who do you rate as being the top 3 design companies?
Apple, for product design
Mercedes Benz, because i love this brand
"Werkstatt, l'atelier intéractif"because they are so good at what they do :) (1 webby award, 4 FWA), this is typically what i call the French touch!
What effect on traffic do your new designs have?
Design is what my customers see and touch, so it must be the core of all my projects. What did your very first site look like? Is it still online?
It looked like a river of <marquee>...</marquee>, and thank god i forgot to pay the domain registration provider ! So it is not online anymore.
Are there things you do OUTSIDE of work to ensure that you are in the right mindset to be creative and/or successful in whatever you are doing?
Talking, questioning, putting my apps in customer's hands. Being curious all the time.
Looking 10 years in to the future, how far can websites go?
I believe that in 10 years websites will disapear, the website as we know will get out of the computer. What google is doing with the google glasses is a good example of where the website is going to be.
Do you think Flash is here to stay?
Flash is slowly dying for the mainstream internet traffic because there are much lighter solutions to experience content on mobile and desktop, so Adobe is making a choice by turning it into a game engine, does it help to make it "here to stay" ? As far as the technology goes flash will have some difficult days.
What country excites you the most in terms of innovation?
Japan & USA
