But the one (software) I couldn't live without is certainly Microsoft Outlook, I'm addicted to it, and sometimes I click the "send/receive" button ten times in a row.
I’m 26 and I’m originally from the south of France. Currently, I live in Paris and work as a freelance designer/developer. I studied computer programming for two years and computer graphics for three years. When not working, I enjoy playing pick-up basketball, watching classic films, painting a little bit and going to see contemporary art.
Besides looking at typeface and design books and magazines, I find inspiration while working in different cafes around Paris. I also keep up with the newest trends and developments in web design as much as possible, but I also check print design, too. Truthfully, most of my best ideas come to me while I’m in the shower.

The LAB website is the most complex website that I have done so far.
Of course, I might not be really original by saying Adobe Flash, but at the same time it’s such a fantastic and practical tool that I like to use it even out of the professional field. Recently, I downloaded a lot of music on iTunes to get some fresh music to listen to while I work. And I would also choose Adobe InDesign as one of my favorites for just chilling out, as it is really intuitive and easy to use this software. But the one I couldn’t live without is certainly Microsoft Outlook, I’m addicted to it, and sometimes I click the “send/receive” button ten times in a row.

My very first site in Flash is still online. It’s “Entreprises & Construction Durable”, a website on sustainable construction. And I was honored when I received a FWA SOTD for it back in 2004 - it was such a suprise!
I would love to. If by any chance an interested party reads this interview...
My toughest work is both the organizing function and the “snapping to window” function of the site “Publicite & Communication Responsables”. I saved them for last and as far as I can remember it took me about 2 to 3 days.
Being French, I can only talk about French design/graphic schools. Web design is getting to be a bigger and more stable sector but I still see a wide difference between the educational level of these schools and the level needed to work in a web design company.
I studied computer programming in school which is really helpful because you learn the correct way to write code, especially 0bject-oriented code. Then I studied Flash mostly on my own, with the help at the beginning of a friend who writes excellent code. If I were to give advice to newbies, it would be to get a strong coding background first, so that they can just concentrate on style when creating and developing websites.
