Our newly established Product team is looking for an outstanding Visual Designer to help build a beautifully functional product experience that helps individuals get insight into and take action on their personal genetic information. Your work could help millions of people make impactful life changes.

What you will do:
Translate scientific concepts and large data sets into consumer-facing visual designs that balance function and beauty.
Produce highly resolved visual assets for screen (web and mobile) and print (printable reports).
Prototype and test designs in the real world and synthesize test findings.
Concept existing and future feature sets and products.
Collaborate with developers and scientists to reinforce design intent along the path from idea to reality.
Communicate effectively across a variety of mediums – writing, speaking, graphics, and motion.
Be an advocate for exceptional visual design.
A digital craftsman – you obsesses on meticulous details that culminate in a holistic experience.
Strong in illustration skills (can comfortably illustrate anything from human forms to physical objects, in Illustrator or Photoshop).
Strong in data visualization skills (know how to accurately represent data in a clear, visually compelling way).
Passionate about cultural, health, and technological intersects. You are empathetic and want to contribute to something meaningful that truly impacts peoples' lives.
Capable and comfortable working with abstract requirements and loose guidelines and be self-motivated to resolve complex challenges.
Experienced with designing in a variety of mediums (web, print, motion – 3+ years) with training from a strong design program.
Experienced in building a consumer-facing brand.
Comfortable working in cross-disciplinary teams with designers, scientists, engineers, etc.

At least one project case study showing your design process from beginning to end, including a summary of how insights influenced the final result.
