Fender Musical Instruments Corporation ("FMIC") located in Scottsdale, AZ is embarking on an exciting enhancement to our online consumer experience, and we're looking for the right individual to join our web design group during one of the most exciting times in the company's history. To appropriately support our initiatives to build the company's iconic brand online, we are seeking to hire a User Interface/User Experience ("UX") Designer to join our team in FMIC's newly established office in Burbank, CA. You will work with interactive designers and developers to create new features and websites while proactively seeking ways to improve existing.
Working alongside business leaders, design and development teams, merchandisers and marketers, you will be part of shaping the visual and functional aspects of the consumer facing projects and interface needs for Fender.com and other FMIC digital properties. Your focus will be to create websites, landing pages, email marketing collateral, advertising assets, optimal ecommerce conversion funnels, and more.
Key functions and requirements for this role are as follows:
Create rich and engaging user experiences with a focus on ecommerce usability.
Create wireframes, flows, mockups, and prototype as part of the design process.
Conceptualize and design landing pages, conversion experiences, registration experiences, advertising assets and other interactive projects that help drive revenue and goal conversion based on audience and business objectives.
Work closely with the data team to utilize data and insights to guide UX direction.
Work closely with the design team to create thoughtful digital interfaces that follow FMIC's art direction while maintaining visual guidelines.
Collaborate with teams to produce world-class design solutions
You will be responsible for creating visual designs that address brand and user requirements, including creation of layouts, color palettes, typography, and interface elements.
Expert user experience skill set including strategy, information architecture, and ecommerce best practices
Familiar with measuring success by conversion rate, funnel optimization and other data driven metrics.
A willingness and level of flexibility with your work schedule due to the 24/7/365 nature of ecommerce activities.
The role could require after-hours, weekend, and/or holiday support as needed, requested or dictated by projects ongoing at a particular time.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to partner with and be a contributor among a high-energy, collaborative environment.
Can mockup your ideas with pen and paper, PSD comp or HTML mockup
You will need to have the ability to think conceptually and as a detailed designer.
Be innovative and systematic designer, thinker and problem solver interested in driving small and large-scale design solutions with a focus on ecommerce & usability.
Experience with the Demandware e-commerce environment, web development, and web content management systems is a strong plus.
Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience. Provide examples of wire-frames and design as well as examples of final web or app based solutions
