Job description
The Front-End Developer is primarily responsible for overseeing the web development of all projects involving standards based, front-end development (CSS). This includes, but is not limited to, hands-on site development utilizing standard & open-source technologies and experience with social media plug-ins, third-party .api's, & hosting environments.

The candidate will have a clear understanding and awareness of the back-end programming languages as outlined below. This position will be responsible for the management of freelance partners who provide these services and solutions as well as the overall delivery of the technical aspect of a given project.

Technology Experience Requirements

Marquee Technologies – HTML, HTML 5, CSS, Ajax, Javascript, PHP

CMS- Expression Engine, Drupal, WordPress

Social Media Integration- Facebook, Twitter, YouTube .api & other plug-in technologies

Supporting Web Standards Technologies- jQuery, Bootstrap and libraries, LESS, SASS DocPad, Grunt, Mustache

Programming Languages – A limited understanding, yet strong awareness of key programming languages such as .NET, ASP.NET, ColdFusion, RubyOnRails, PHP & Java. Supporting knowledge of other common languages is a plus.

Ecommerce – A limited understanding, yet strong awareness of ecommerce solutions such as MAGENTO (community / enterprise) and Drupal Commerce is a plus.

Mobile – The candidate must possess an understanding of front-end mobile development specifically for today's array of touch screen smart phones including: iphone, Android, Blackberry, etc. This includes responsive development, grid systems, etc.

Hosting – The candidate must possess an understanding of hosting environments and how they support a given development technology. This includes the setup and coordination of live and development environments.
