Interactive Designer
Las Vegas, NV

Ideal candidate will be responsible for contributing to the changing face of web technologies and online advertising. You will be working as part of a team as we develop web applications and online content.

The candidate for this position is expected to be able to drive the development of banner ads, enhancements to existing assets from prototype, comps, or other high-concept documents to a finished product. Video editing is a plus.


Job Duties:

• In coordination with the E-Commerce Operations Manager works with day-to-day maintenance and enhancements of company websites, customer websites, and online banners.
• Understanding of Content Management Systems - Dynamic content publishing
• Experienced with Flash animation using tweening and/or actionscript, creating motion graphics and integration with Content Management Systems.
• Working experience in Flash players 7-10 and Actionscript versions 2 & 3.
• Fluent in HTML, with an understanding of XML and the jQuery framework.
• Fluent in PhotoShop and Illustrator.
• An understanding of company brand and identity.
• Having a sense of humor.

Other competencies:
• Ability to understand dynamic database environments and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
Usage of communication tools such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc.


Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in interactive design, graphic design, motion graphics, marketing, or closely related disciplines strongly preferred; an equitable level of applied experience or combination of education and experience may be substituted.

• Two (2) or more years of experience designing user interfaces, motion graphics for large-scale web sites, online banner ads, landing pages, and online graphical elements with user experience in mind, strongly preferred.

• Must have knowledge of the Adobe CS suite with core experience using Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator and Dreamweaver.

• An intermediate knowledge of Actionscript; knowledge of Action Script 3.0 is a plus.

• Must have an understanding of hand coding HTML and use of browser debugging tools, cross browser integration, with an understanding of JavaScript, XHTML, and XML integration.

• Must have strong layout, typography, motion graphics, and interactive design skills.

• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.

• Must have excellent communication skills.

• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
