Job descriptionRoyale is looking for full-time a Technical Director/Lead Developer! Job description is along these lines:
•Bringing technological and creative solutions to team discussions to help formulate project approach
•Prototyping for client projects and internally for capabilities and proof of concept
•Guiding tool and framework use, as well as developing internal tools
•Setting/evolving development process
•Managing technical aspects of development projects, along with Producer
•Helping to develop/refine team workflows, along with Head of Production
•Helping to bridge communication gap between designers and development team
•Being a ever evolving repository for technological capabilities in the practice
•Helping to build/shape a growing department
•Strong opinions about development workflows and architectural practices
•Solid familiarity with back-end technologies important, but super deep front-end skills should be your primary strength
•Have been around the block a few times. Won't define it here, as mileage may vary, but must have a reasonable amount of qualified experience.
•Being detail-oriented, yet able to keep priorities in perspective (i.e. having good judgement about when to "get it done perfectly" and "get it done fast", based on project objectives)
Bonus points for:
•Solid graphics programming chops (Canvas, openGL, etc.), and strong interest in pushing visual boundaries on the web, etc.
•Experience leading small development teams
•A degree in Computer Science or a similar field
