Specific Duties:
- Works with the Director of Application Strategy and Development to create technical proposals and assist with estimates
- Builds custom web-based applications to industry standards either alone or in conjunction with a small team
- Maintains, debugs, and enhances existing websites
- Provides third-party code integration and maintenance or enhancements
- Troubleshoots website and server problems
- Researches new products and keep current with changing technologies
- Contributes to the development of common code and coordinates with the front-end development and design teams during the product design and development lifecycles
- Provides quality assurance and benchmark testing, and documents functionality of scripts and website interfaces
- Serves as a technical lead and performs peer reviews of team code and processes
- Reviews and develops new technologies and opportunities

Required Experience:
- 5+ years experience building scalable web applications in PHP using MVC frameworks
- Strong MySQL query building experience
- Solid experience with cross-platform, browser compliant HTML (HTML5) and CSS
- Good to great Javascript knowledge (jQuery framework)
- Experience with version control systems, especially SVN
- Experience with e-commerce and mobile commerce application development and customization lifecycles
- Familiarity with integrating popular APIs (parsing JSON, XML), experience with social media APIs beneficial
- Experience implementing Content Management Systems, such as WordPress, including design integration and code customization
- Attention to detail - clean code and precise design translation

Required Skills:
- PHP, MySQL, HTML/CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, Version Control Systems, API's and object oriented programming, developer, programmer, engineer, architect

Travel:
None required

Compensation:
Commensurate with experience and paid as monthly salary plus performance bonuses based on biannual reviews. Health insurance, gym membership, commute reimbursement, 20 paid days of vacation, flexible hours.
